A McClellanville family has a new home thanks to stranger.
Brian Smyth was so pleased with his Chick-fil-A experience a year and a half ago due to Shakeel Williams, he befriended him.
He has this sort of natural humanity that just shines through in everything he does, said Smyth.
Smyth got to know Williams and his family. The title agency president started helping to pay for Williams medical bills stemming from sickle cell anemia and its complications.
Smyth decided he needed to do something bigger for Shack as Williams is called by those close to him after driving him home from work one night.
Last week, Smyth and the construction crew demolished the trailer Williams lives at with his mother and siblings. And on Wednesday, the family got to see what they will be moving into in a few days.
I thank God first of all, said Tolunda Williams, Shekeels mother, and thank God for my son.
Its like a blessing, added Shekeel.
Shekeels mother says she never imagined the values she instilled in Shekeel to pay off like this. Shack treats somebody how you want them to treat you, said Williams, its a blessing.
Bryan Smyths company Landmark 13 gives 13% of its profits to people in need.
Chick-fil-A is filled with hard-working employees with good attitudes. The fact that my local Chick-fil-A is always mobbed with customers never seems to get the employees down. And it’s one place at which I don’t mind waiting in line.
Work is a blessing! A great company to work for - even more so!
I wish everybody had the work ethic that most Chick-Fil-A employees have. It’s contagious and does wonders for business.
We regularly patronize a Chick-fil-A in a low-income black neighborhood—really, a ghetto. The employees there also treat customers with care and respect. It’s a place people go out of their way to visit.
The fast food places where I live are hiring high school and college kids...Anyone older do not seem to be to interested in working...I think there more trainable
I would tend to agree.
I’ve been to CFA Corporate. Those guys have major fun!
Not a sad or angry face among them.
One of my kids worked there in high school, now goes to a top college, my other kid works there now. Fantastic place.
Starship singer Grace Slick revealed that the money she received for Chick-fil-A’s “Nothing’s Gonna Stop Us Now” Grammy ad will go to an LGBQT group
And the song will keep the attention of many, yielding more customers for Chick-fil-A. A guilty lib, hippy, burnout is just gravy.
One of my kids works there. He loves it. I found out one of their off
Menu items in biscuits and gravy. Very tasty
