Ahh, nope. He has a six year term. He can be impeached, I guess. The whole reason for the six year term is so the President can’t fire him.

There will never be 2/3 of the senate ready to convict him.

So, pretty much he is here for a while.

Don’t think so . The 10 years is a term limit not a job guarantee. He can be replaced.

The position of FBI director exists as part of the executive branch therefore the President can replace the director at any time.

You don't know what the hell you're talking about. You should just read and leave the typing to the adults.

You are just plain wrong. The relevant statute is 28 U.S.C. section 532. The AG can simply fire Comey, and I’m fairly sure Sessions would do just that if Trump asked him to.

Insubordination is a fireable offense.

President Trump can indeed fire the FBI director =>

_________________________________________________________

It is sometimes assumed that the President can oust an FBI director only “for cause” – that is, for some misconduct in office. But, as a Congressional Research Service study of the director’s office pointed out two years ago, “there are no statutory conditions on the President’s authority to remove the FBI director.”
