So maybe it wasnt the best thought-out event, A Day Without a Woman general strike this Wednesday, on International Womens Day.
Stupid. Thats what I first thought, says Angie Beem, the state director of the Womens March that in Seattle drew tens of thousands of participants on Jan. 21.
Whats the purpose of a strike when you cant afford a day to not work? Women who could possibly do this are in an executive-type position. Life will go on for them. Their career is more stable. This screamed
Guess the next two words.
White privilege, concludes Beem.
Her group is not sponsoring any events associated with A Day Without a Woman, which also coincides with International Womens Day.
There are strike events promised in New York, Washington, D. C., Boston and even Fairbanks.
Beem remembers a tweet coming a month or so ago from the national Womens March group.
It was just two women who decided it was going to happen. They put this out on social media without discussing it, says Beem.
Facebook blew up. There were a lot of people like myself saying, This isnt right.

These are b.s. crazy women who are marching.
They should be discussing islamic polygamy, genital mutilation and other traditions of the new religion they are encouraging to enter and alter American society.
How about a day without men. Good luck dear.
So they don’t even know what they want. Might as well just make it another “hate whitey” day.
I’m a white woman. I didn’t leave the planet today. I didn’t attend any marches.
I am surprised that conservatives have not grasped the meaning of “The Women’s Movement.” The movement signals the success of those controlling American public opinion; i.e. dividing the population into easily controlled groups. Remember the old saw-”Divide and Conquer.”
Why is that dude so worried about his womb?
I really don’t understand these people.
That gal on the right has some serious facial hair issues
Dennis Prager said it right. This is pure communism.
Today, I got up, woke the family, got the kids dressed & fed, made lunches, ensured everyone got to where they needed to, worked 8 hours (well, still at it), did some cleaning, will make dinner, take boy to evening activity, do dishes, do laundry, and get ‘em all to bed.
Not sure what this “strike” is supposed to accomplish.
We are at that delicious stage where the Revolution eats its own...
So...10 people showed up?
Always beware close-up news shots not accompanied by wide views of the event.
According to #6, apparently half are men.
I count all of 11 folk...being generous with the body parts at the edges of the snap and not a pu—y hat on anyone...maybe that girl is sporting vaginal curlies....instead of facial hair.
Alien folk...
“There is no organized A Day Without a Woman protest planned for Wednesday in the Seattle area amid charges of white privilege. “
I love it when they eat their own.
Perverts on parade. I think it’s funny that she’s worried about her womb ranting in front of a homosexual flag. I don’t think she has to worry about getting pregnant in the first place.
“Whats the purpose of a strike when you cant afford a day to not work?”
Then maybe your cause isn’t worth striking over.
For that matter, near as anyone can tell there _isn’t_ any cause for this “strike”.
