BOSTON — FBI Director James Comey says he plans to serve his entire 10-year term, even as controversy swirls over his attempt to rebut President Donald Trump’s claim that the Obama administration tapped his phones during the election.
Comey said Wednesday during a cybersecurity conference at Boston College: “You’re stuck with me for another 6½ years.” He was appointed 3½ years ago by then-President Barack Obama.

Understood. Then I cannot explain Trump’s keeping him on. Basically, I thought when Trump was elected, Comey saw which way the political winds were blowing and threw in his lot with Trump. “Let me keep my job and I’ll tell you everything you wanna know.” That sort of thing.

Everyone is, and it's just an example of how the Big Lie works. The original story, fabricated by the NYT is full of "unnamed sources" indirectly quoting Comey. There is no actual quote by Comey. There is no comment by the FBI spokesman. There is no comment by the DOJ spokesman. There has been neither confirmation nor denial from Comey himself.
Now every news outlet on the planet is quoting from the original story as if Comey has made some statement. He hasn't.
Jobs are one thing, as is the wall but not draining the DC swamp as promised makes any progress that Trump does make useless, it will be rendered temporary. There is no question that James Comey is a DC swamp rat and needs to go. Trump really needs to ID his enemies both inside and outside the federal government and if Trump doesn’t cage Hillary, Bill, the obozo and their globalist overlords and clean out the obozo/Clinton gov employee holdovers, you can take to the bank the DC swamp will only get worse, thus we lose the country. Are you willing to take that risk? Trump will have sacrificed his chance to fix DC, if in fact he wants to drain the swamp as he says. Eliminating DC corruption is THE war for the survival of this country, it’s that simple. Keeping a DC establishment lying thug as Director of the FBI clearly indicates Trump’s surrender to the DC establishment.

He is not an at will employee like the US Attorneys. He must be fired for cause.

He’s appointed FOR a 10 year term, and can be re-appointed, I presume... but there is no language that says he cannot be fired or impeached.
