It seems, IIUC, that two Syrian families made it into Rutland under the wire. I hope that is not a beachhead for starting a “chain immigration” pattern, which is what they usually do-the first ones over then bring in their extended family, who bring in more extended family, etc etc etc. Not to mentIon false documents for the ones who aren’t truly family, stating that they are.
I hope that President Trump’s great idea of merit-based immigration gets a fair look, as long as that’s not just another way to displace American workers from their jobs with foreigners, whom the displaced American employees often have the added indignity of being required to train them.
