DA and Berkeley PD have decided not to charge him with any crimes at this time.
They probably knew that they couldn’t get him convicted if he chose a jury trial.

Thank God. Maybe they weren’t expecting him to get such widespread online support, and become an instant meme hero.
The other possibility would be that the hypocrisy was too much even for Berkeley Lefties, but we can rule that out. Lefties subsist on hypocrisy, and no amount is too much if they can get away with it.
Just as well. There will be a hundred of these guys e next time. The socialist left has no brains, so technically you cannot bashed their brains out.
