Washington (CNN)Democrats aren't finished with Attorney General Jeff Sessions, and they're using the Senate confirmation hearing for his potential second in command as an opportunity to grill him on the Trump campaign's potential ties to Russia and the President's baseless claim of being wiretapped by his predecessor.
Democrats on the Senate Judiciary Committee pressed Rod J. Rosenstein, President Donald Trump's nominee for deputy attorney general, almost exclusively on the Russia investigation and whether Sessions told the truth in his own confirmation hearing when he said he had not met with any Russian officials.

There’s an even better Custer story, known to historians. In the days before the surrender of the Army of N. Virginia by Gen. Robert E. Lee to General Grant, there were Union cavalry that harassed CSA General Longstreet’s flanking column in the withdrawal from Richmond.
Custer, a cavalry unit commander under Kirkpatrick— took it upon himself to send himself and an aide (under a white flag) up to General Gordon one time (refused) and General Longstreet while Lee and Grant were negotiating by letter to meet. He asked for Longstreet’s sword as representing the army and to be the “surrender of all forces”. Custer rode on to confront Longstreet and demanded surrender from him. Longstreet stood in his stirrups (he was 1.5 feet taller than Custer, and on a large horse to support himself), raised his voice at Custer, yelling “not to you, Boy, ever” and literally chased him off.
Schumer is like Custer in every way— and add to that an inveterate liar and fraud, who twists words and cannot stay out of cameras view. Trump has his number and punches it regularly— can push all of Schumer’s buttons, and gets to him.

That is what I said as well. When you confirm my people, I will recuse myself. Instead he caved within a day with recusal.

Easily handled. Team Trump can simply ‘slow-walk’ any investigation held by the Obama appointee.
If the Obama appointee wants to interview AG Sessions, sorry, he’s not available until oh, maybe late January 2020.
If the Obama appointee requests material on NSA metadata, etc. oh sorry, could take years and years, next decade probably. You know like the Obama State Dept responded to handing over the Clinton emails, etc.
In the meantime, make a recess appointment to take over for the Obama slug.
Understand your sentiment— but,Custer really was a glory hound, and his urgency to win and become a Presidential candidate is well documented. He was not careful in the run up to Little Big Horn, and he paid for it along with his entire battalion command, against the finest natural cavalry in the US, the Cheyenne and Sioux warriors.

How conveeeenient that the Dems are insisting on a special prosecutor, now that Wikileaks revealed today that our intelligence agencies have the capability to mask false information and camouflage it to look like other countries,like the Russians, are the source. So our NSA or CIA could have salted fake Russian information in phone or computer conversations of Sessions and Trump, and now all they need is a special prosecutor to “discover” them. You can’t tell me that Hillary &/or Obama wasn’t behind this plot.
What is badly needed is a special prosecutor to investigate why the democrat party continues to be allowed to exist as the largest criminal organization in the country.
I call for a special counsel to investigate your ongoing torture of the English language. ;)
