We will see how N. Korea will play its hostage card. Can be used in different ways. One of them could be to pressure Malaysia to give up Kim Jong-nam’s body. N. Korea may think Malaysia is holding Kim Jong-nam’s body as a hostage so N. Korea needs hostages of their own to make a swap.

Wire Services are now picking up the story.
Pyongyang bans Malaysians from leaving North Korea
Excerpts:
"All Malaysian nationals in the DPRK will be temporarily prohibited from leaving the country until the incident that happened in Malaysia is properly solved," the official Korea Central News Agency (KCNA) said, citing the foreign ministry.

“I dont see any way for Malaysia to pressure N. Korea.”
They could hold up Nork, and maybe Iranian, ships going through the Strait of Malacca. That probably wouldn’t last long, but it would make everyone in SE Asia happy.

So Kim Jong-un has in uncle wiped out in Kuala Lumpur, and then he turns around and says that Malaysians can’t leave North Korea until the murder is solved? What kind of weird posturing is this? Did I miss a step somewhere over the last few days?

They are obsessed with Kim Jong-nam’s body which Malaysia refuses to turn over. It is possible they are setting up a swap deal: the body for Malaysian hostages.

Ah yes. I did read something about that too. I believe you are right. Why would the crazy Norks expect repatriation of an assassinated person to go smoothly in the first place. I’ve seen several recreations of the incident on Japanese news, and it’s clearly a bizarre setup that knocked him off. Malaysia should just hang onto the dead dude for as long as they can. That would be crazy if this escalated in South Asia due to the Norks bumping off of on of their own and forgetting that it might not go so smooth.

Malaysia retaliates. Now it is a two-way hostage situation.
Malaysia bans N. Korean diplomatic staff from leaving country
7 March 2017
KUALA LUMPUR: The Malaysian Government has banned North Korean embassy staff and officers from leaving the country, says Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi.
Speaking at an emergency press conference, the Home Minister said this was in response to Pyongyang temporarily banning all Malaysian citizens from leaving North Korea.
We dont mean to do this, but it needs to be done.
The Home Ministry has made a ruling, effective immediately, that not one staff member or officer of the (North Korean) embassy can leave the country.
This will be made effective at all immigration exits nationwide, he said.
Dr Ahmad Zahid also confirmed that the travel ban only applies to the diplomatic staff, and that that regular North Korean citizens in Malaysia will be allowed to leave the country.
Immediately after his announcement, police surrounded and cordoned off the North Korean Embassy here.
Dr Ahmad Zahid added that Malaysia had not planned to retaliate against North Korea for what it has done, but it was necessary considering the fact that the latter had carried out a move that was against the norms of diplomatic relations.
We need to take similar steps as they have manipulated the murder which happened in Kuala Lumpur International Airport 2 (KLIA2), he said, referring to the assassination of Kim Jong-nam on Feb 13.
We want to share a clear message that one should not point fingers at Malaysia and look down on our sovereignty, he said, adding that North Korea had looked down at the investigation done by Malaysian authorities.
Asked on the number of Malaysians in North Korea, he said he would need to check up on it.
A Foreign Ministry source said 100 Malaysians, including 11 embassy staff, are in Pyongyang, but this could not be verified as of press time.
Dr Ahmad Zahid, also the Deputy Prime Minister, said Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak would discuss bilateral ties with North Korea in the Cabinet meeting on Friday.

Are the Silk Suits who do their morning exercises on their estates on the banks of the Yongding, Chaobai, Juma and Wenyu going to let their Eastern dog off his leash much longer?
The now-dead half-brother was allegedly under their “protection.”
Had a dream of the Shock Armies of the DPRK marching south the other night. They took entire ROK in 4 days, then had no idea what to do with it!

North Korea should be economically blockaded, including food and medicine and fuel.
If they act out, for example, by artillery striking Seoul, they should have about 50 hydrogen bombs airburst over them and ended immediately.
Then tell anyone who bitches about said action, that we have a few for you, too, if you cause problems.

Kim is certifiably insane. When and if he is about to lose power I think he will fire his nukes in a final act of madness. At this present moment his hold on power is not stable and sure.
When you lose power in North Korea you do not retire. If you a lucky, you just get shot.

North Korea, the biggest open prison in the world.
As much as I wish to see their leader and his cronies fall hard, I feel sorry for the millions living in poverty while money is diverted to pointless missle programs.
