Did you happen to notice how many people in the emergency room with you will likely pay nothing for their visit?
Nuttin.
It is still headed toward eventual nationalization unless real free market reforms are enacted—and this ain’t that.
I appreciate much Trump’s intentions and that we have him rather than anyone else who was running for president there.
But so far I don’t see a hint of him bringing in the team he needs, focusing on what he needs that team focused on, and being anything other than Ryan’s effective bitch re: legislation—which is a disaster.
His team should have rolled out the gate with their own legislative proposals and Trump should have gone both to individual members of the House and Senate and the American people to get them through.
The slow-walking of appointments in the Senate and his team’s disinterest in getting all appointment nominations in to the Senate from the time of his inauguration have been disasters.
Likewise, his relying on Ryan’s buttboy in Priebus to manage relations with Congress.
So much to straighten out and so much of the most critical time already lost.
Bastards.
No matter what they do it won't fix the real problem, medical care is just too d@mn expensive. $1,500.00 a month for 1 person is insane unless he is the only one in his group.
I am old enough to remember when almost no one had insurance but an office call was only $5.00 and that included a shot or pills if you needed them.
I feel Trump may be the last hope we have to save the Republic but he can not do it by being nice and waving around the Constitution because they have their own rules and obeying the Constitution is not in them unless it shields them from some foul agenda they are pursuing.
Anyone that could not predict what Ryan was going to come up with just doesn't pay attention. Remember when his district rejected any attempt to remove him, by any means necessary.
Federal control of healthcare is ILLEGAL!!

Exactly. I’m self-employed and my insurance immediately went from reasonable to laughable when Obamacare was enacted.
I forget who it is who pointed out what insurance company and regulation-free healthcare looks like by pointing to the incredibly modest costs of the exempted christian healthcare noninsurance ministries. That’s what I turned to over the last couple of years, and I was amused when my doctor, who doesn’t take any insurance directly, told me he and his wife used the christian healthcare out as well.
I thank God every day for Trump and pray for his health and success. The same for Bannon, too. Look what Bannon has accomplished in the name of his friend Breitbart, and now the country, in the last, what, five years? is amazing.
Listening to a guy on Fox now - he's saying that if folks "let it lapse" or don't get it until they need it, they can no longer game the system by paying the same as everyone else if they decide that, now that they need insurance, they should be able to get it at same cost. Makes perfect sense if you think about it. If they want to gamble with their insurance, and lose, it's their tough luck. It has to lapse for 2 months before the higher cost kicks in.
Satisfied?
Thank you for the update. If indeed that is the case, I don’t have a problem with it.
>>How do you figure? What is it about this plan that will attract young and healthy individuals to buy insurance that the Obamacare plan did not?<<
You’re missing the point. When it comes to older people, it doesn’t matter if young people buy in or not because under this plan young people aren’t subsidizing older people like they had to do under Obamacare.
They were charged too much, which is why the penalty was needed. The penalty, which was designed to increase every year as I recall, was meant to force young people in, so the unjustifiably high premiums they would be paying would be available to subsidize older peoples’ policies.
You ask what about this plan will make them buy that Obamacare didn’t. They’re not getting screwed; Obamacare screwed them. So it’s a far better deal for them.
You’re welcome - that’s how it was explained and the only way it makes sense.
In fact, to their plan, in Jesus Holy Name, I say no.
