It looks like they’ve replaced the mandate to BUY insurance with a 30% penalty if one does not KEEP continuous coverage. In other words, if you drop your policy and then somewhere down the line want to be reinsured, you’ll be punished severely.

Trump made it clear he does not want to allow insurance exclusions based on Pre-existing conditions. From what I see many Freepers agree. So any subsequent bill passed based on his wishes cannot allow for a return to a insurance based health care system. Why? Because it isn’t insurance if you can pay for it after you need it. Similar to trying to get insurance for your car after it’s wrecked and insuring a building that is on fire.

If pre existing conditions are allowed then everyone must have insurance all of the time or the system will go broke. She you can either have a mandate to buy or a huge penalty. Or you can let people who will not insure themselves to their own devices and charity of others.

So we are going to have some form of government administered health system not insurance.

That’s good because RINO Ryan’s plan isn’t going anywhere.

Yes. I know.I include all forms of government intervention. Without it there is little “need” for Medicaid. or Medicare.

Medicare and Medicaid have been around since 1965. MILLIONS have been recipients of the benefits and I don’t hear people screaming to make it go away...except for yourself. You must be young.

As I said, I am an “old folks.” I am 70 and derive a substantial portion of my income from SS and I, of course, get Medicare. If both went away this would be a more prosperous society. I do not believe that the government should be stealing money from other productive citizens to redistribute to me (and I am still productive, working 48-56 hours a week). I actually go to a private doctor who does not take insurance of any kind and he is much cheaper than others. I trust him much more than the one available Medicare doctor. He says he will have to raise his rates because he is getting forced into the government recordkeeping scheme that the Government needs so that it can better keep track of and control the citizenry.

There are no net benefits to Medicare, Medicaid, or, indeed, Social Security. All are a net liability to the economy. All are schemes where the money is taken from one portion of the population to be given to another part of the population in a corrupt exchange for increased voting share. The redistribution benefits bureaucrats and politicians even asa portion of it is put in the pockets of the target population. If you believe that all this is a good and proper system in this Constitutional Republic then you belong on Democratic Underground, not here.

CAN ILLEGALS GET IT ....YES?

Obamacare used a failed verification process that allowed illegal aliens to get taxpayer funded subsidies to purchase health insurance. Paul Ryan’s bill uses the same failed process. -NUMBERSUSA https://www.facebook.com/numbersusa/?pnref=story
