A tax credit can also only reduce your taxes to zero.

A tax deduction can only reduce your taxes to zero. A tax credit you will get regardless.

No, you are wrong.

Tax Credit: An amount of money that can be offset against a tax liability.

It can written, structured so that if your tax liability is offset to zero that is all you get.

Buy a clue before you come on this board.

You stupid jerk. That’s the way they wrote THAT law! And it only applies to THAT law.

You can write the law so it takes your tax liability down to zero and no further. Idiot

They don’t get it. Right now Democrats OWN the train wreck. Lock, stock and barrel.

Unfortunately you are wrong. As of January 20, President Trump owns this train wreck. I wish it were otherwise but one of Trump's primary campaign promises was that he would "repeal and replace."

Personally I wish we would just scrap the whole damn thing and not replace it at all. But that's not what Trump promised to do. I'm a huge supporter of Trump as the alternative would have literally meant the end of this nation. But I wish Trump had never made this particular promise.

So for better or worse, Trump owns this thing and needs to carry out his promise.

This will help small businesses...and part time workers who under obamacare couldn’t work over 29 hours or their employer had to provide insurance for them. My company’s employees suffered because of that dumb rule.

“And, it would eliminate the Affordable Care Act rule that currently requires employers with 50 or more full-time workers to offer them affordable health coverage or pay a financial penalty.”

Because the constitution of the united states does NOT afford you the health insurance!! It does not afford you of a car or a private plane or life insurance. Get an education— work your ass off and buy those things if you want them. To hell with communist health care!!KILL THE BILL!!
These bastards are not listening to us!!

as an example of how horrible this is, i’m looking at the tortured the way they’re trying to limit taxpayer funded abortion by cutting out sections of ACA. but in the end, they still have the allowance for abortion (rape, incest, or health). and then it looks like they go out of their way to make sure they’re supporting injury from abortion. ryan, mcconnell and crew are sick. anyway, so the gope will still drag us into the abortion business.

again, if the market wants non-essential services of this type. then let the public by it.

"but in the end, they still have the allowance for abortion (rape, incest, or health)"

In WA and CA (and probably many more states), Obamacare pays for Abortion on Demand -- often for free or less than $10.

yes, obamacare is bad. but this ryancare may be just as bad in a different way, it’s certainly not a clean repeal of aca. it feels like the gope’s version of obamacare from what i can see from my preliminary reading (taken with a grain of salt of course). but, looks they just want to tweak it enough to get it past the people. they are sunsetting some provisions in 2020 but there’s no guarantee that they can’t turn around and cancel those when we aren’t looking. they are adding a whole new section to irs and new healthcare rules. i’ll have to take a look at that tommorrow. reading this crap is max stressful.

Ditch "pre-existing conditions." They aren't insurance!!! They're like buying a big home insurance policy AFTER the twister hits. Instead let insurance companies charge a reasonably higher fee for someone who hasn't maintained coverage (other than brief breaks consistent with shifting plans) and/or allow them to limit coverage for recent problems for some period of time. Children born to covered parents start out covered. Under ObamaCare EVERYONE was supposed to have coverage. Those who were paying the penalty instead can be presumed NOT to currently have any pre-existing condition that's worth whining about, or they would have taken Obama's offer to be covered. Make high deductible catastrophic coverage for the healthy young affordable, yet price in having at least that covers the possibility of becoming an expensive insuree in the future so having that minimalist coverage protects you from future "pre-existing condition" issues.

Ditch the Medicaid expansions. 2/3 of those newly covered under ObummerCare were in the Medicaid expansions and reportedly 2/3 of THEM had been eligible for Medicaid beforehand, just hadn't signed up. Relatively few people will be cut off and studies have shown Medicaid does NOT save lives or improve people's health, it just makes them less nervous. Those people are losing little or no REAL value, as compared to the many who've lost their doctors, their insurance and/or seen their health expenses sky rocket in the name of offering pittances to Obama voters. If some states want to offer more Medicaid AT THEIR OWN COST and tax their own voters for it they certainly may. Don't make the rest of us subsidize them. We're sick and tired of it.

Amen! Repeal it! It is such a mess. I was reading the book for it, looking for Obamacare for our adult son in California. You not only cannot buy it across state lines, there were TWO PLANS for Los Angeles COUNTY! you had to buy the plan for your side of that county. Different prices, etc.

Repeal NOT Replace

REPLACE is NOT REPEAL

Do you folks understand basic AND OR logic?
Let down by Freepers lack of logic.

You can replace down the road, after repeal.

You stupid jerk. That’s the way they wrote THAT law! And it only applies to THAT law.

And what makes you think that THIS law won't be the same? If they are talking about refundable, advanceable tax credits then how do you think that will work? Will the government give the taxpayer the credit in January to pay for healthcare insurance and then if in April of the following year levy a high tax bill if the credit and deductions exceeded the amount of taxes withheld? Is that what you think?

Repealing one train wreck and replacing it with one as bad or worse gets us what exactly?
