Speaking of Rudy, where has he been? Rudy’s company is in the security business could it be Trump had him scour Trump Tower for bugs?

Wouldn’t co-chairmen on the Sen Jud Cmte have to have been briefed when it happened? Like the House Armed Svcs cmte chairmen have to be woken up if something happens the US military might have to jump into.

What was the real deal with Comey briefing the Sen Intel Cmte two weeks ago, with them coming out ‘ashen’ after two hours? Wasn’t it during Sessions’ confirmation? What were they told? That all the data they’d been passing around was illegally obtained?

Good. Follow it where it leads.

Personally, I think that citing a Russian bank is bogus.

Just about ANY international bank is only 2 or 3 degrees of separation from anyone.

I’m truly curious about Trump’s inner circle, about Comey, about the first and second tiers of bureaucrats.

I’d immediately fire anyone connected in any way. That said, John Bolton has said it on a news interview twice now. Comey should have immediately been fired and still should be.

For the sake of argument let’s say a senior WH official did tell this to the NYT.

It’s either deliberate disinformation (for an unknown reason )

OR

There’s a disloyal staff member pretty high up the chain.

Just remember, anything that comes via any channel other than Tweets, postings, or statements you hear from the lips of Trump himself or his staff is fake news.

EVERY single thing!

We know the media hates Trump and wants him removed from office, right? So why would we give anything they say any more credence than words from an enemy solider who is being interrogated? They have every reason to lie and fabricate and no reason to tell the truth.

Be aware also that disinformation and head-fakes are part of Trump’s strategy, so it could well be true that an “aide” gave some informaton to a news source intentionally as part of a strategy. Just don’t treat everything as gospel truth!

I’ve updated my tagline to reflect what I call “The Grapevine Rule”.

“But the most important Clapper revelation from “Meet the Press” was this: He emphatically told Todd the Obama intelligence agencies found “no evidence” of collusion between Trump’s campaign and the Russians. Nothing. Nada. If that is true, and Trump is right he was indeed wiretapped, it will only fuel his argument that Obama administration officials improperly eavesdropped on his offices. In lieu of a follow-up from Trump as this story progresses, here is what Ruddy thinks are the relevant things to consider in the near future:”

This was from another thread posted yesterday. So Clapper claims there is no evidence? Why’d he say this then?

Just speculation, but the regime failed to get a surveillance order approved in the summer before the election because it was an overly broad fishing expedition, so in the fall they narrowed the scope as to tailor the application to pass muster by citing computer or installed a virus to ping Russia from trump tower, which then gave them an excuse for the keys,,,,,i would not put it past them to have planted the computer, as the means to use as fake evidence before the court .....Nothing should be off the table, these people are slimes...

One thing for sure, the whole Russian allegation was a ruse to get approval to spy on trump as a means to defeat him, then later to destabilize his presidency......

They can shred all they want. It’s a long paper trail and lots of folks can be put under questioning.

But it was okay for hillary to sell uranium to russia and keep the money... she broke every law when she was SS... she made millions from foreign governments... and things like this is what makes it hard to take when they only go after one person and leave all the others off the hook.... justice is not equal and it makes me angry!!

Needs repeating as even some on this forum seem to forget who the New York Times is.

Watching President Trump trap the Democrats and liberal media is a lesson in how inept and lacking in intelligence our politicians and media elite have been for years.

If the warrant exists the Democrats have a giant problem, one the liberal media can't even help them with.

If the warrant doesn't exist, then the media and Democrats who have been claiming they know Russia and people in the Trump campaign were talking just got caught in another lie and fake news story.

And even worse for the Democrats and their friends, all of the FISA warrants are classified, and it is probably illegal for anyone, short of President Trump, to divulge what is in them or even if they exist. That may be why we have already seen Democrats who said they knew President Trump's campaign had contact with the Russians now saying they have no idea if any such thing occurred.

I am continually frustrated that Trump hasn’t mentioned the Clinton-Russian uranium deal. He should be mentioning it once a week.

Not because Clinton is still an issue. Obviously she’s not. But the media is an issue and this highlights just how the media is the issue.

It’s starting to look as if all the operatives were lead to believe the first application was approved and operated as if it had. Some nit-picking lawyer somewhere demanded a copy for his records and when it was unproducible in Oct, they re-applied and tried to reel back all the data that the taps had disseminated for the last four months.

This may finally turn out to be what Seth Rich was really working on.
