What they don't realize is this is all GOOD and important for a healthy and viable government! It helps us purge the bad people who are willing to break the law and use their power to influence the people.

Would it somehow be better if we didn't know about it and bury our heads in the sand?

Spying is a necessary evil however it should be and must be tightly controlled and regulated. Because not everyone is trustworthy and it is clear that some may use the information to their benefit.

I don’t feel nervous either. In fact, I am feeling empowered for the first time in 28 years. That is, starting with the feckless Presidency of the first Bush.
