I see the logic

The press makes charges of Trump and Russian connection via wiretap and leaks

Trump charges Obama admin of Wiretaping Trump

So now either the press has to say there was no taps so can be no evidence of Trump/Russian contacts, its all bs...Trump wins

Or

Obama did tap/spy on Trump...but no evidence of Trump/Russian contact... Trump win bigger

Or Obama did tap/spy on Trump.. and evidence of Trump/Russian contact.. but what is it? But it ends the drip drip bleeding/speculation...Trump is putting in a stop loss

As Trump should already know what the truth is he know the risk versus reward he facing.

Trump put quotes around "wire tap" in his original Twitter message. I thought this was odd at the time (and said so here on FR), but now I understand why. He was deliberately doing that so the reader would know that he was using the term loosely and not literally.

If one of the Democrat talking points is that Trump was wrong because the surveillance was electronic and not an actual wiretap ... well, I'll just let that stand on its own. They are acting like a fighter who got his ass kicked by Trump in the ring for a full round, refused to answer the bell for Round 2, then ran around for days claiming he didn't really lose the fight because the referee never counted him out while he was collapsed in the corner with the ring doctor taking his pulse to see if he was still alive.

I finally decided that I figured out the one sentence that best describes Trump's remarkable political skill: TRUMP ALWAYS CONTROLS THE NARRATIVE AT EVERY STEP IN THE PROCESS.

Good post ... I truly think Trump relishes fights like this , otherwise he would be bored out of his mind ... he can fight the fight and implement his agenda simultaneously ...most people think it cannot be done, but Trump can do it with ease ...

Bottom line:

If they had the goods on Trump/Russians they’d be showing it.

Since they’re not showing it, they don’t have it. If Trump and the Russians didn’t collude, how do they know? Because they illegally spied on Trump and didn’t find anything.
