Something HAS to be done about this. Jeff Sessions needs to aggressively investigate and prosecute whoever tapped Trump's phone lines, and make it loudly clear who he's after and why.
Drudge apparently sleeps in on weekends at times, this wouldn't be the first time he dropped the ball and left a major story out of Drudge Report on a Saturday or Sunday. The_Donald is beating him to the punch routinely of late. He's losing his edge and the audience will follow eventually if sleepy time continues.
Trump has really good security people, right? I think they learned of the wiretapps practically when it happened and they have all of their (legal) ducks in a row.

At this time, it is a saturday. The traditional MSM “news dump” time period was yesterday evening.
Tomorrow are the MSM talking head live commentary interviews.
The only reason I can think of for Trump to tweet about this now is to “get inside the OODA loop” of the MSM. Offhand it seems as this is one of his frequently used tactics, presuming he is deliberately trying to disorient his political enemies inside the DC beltway and the MSM.
Wow, if so, what an epic struggle this is, playing out in public like it apparently is, and using of all things... twitter. Did Reagan have it this rough? (I guess so— with Reagan, they actually tried to assassinate him... I hope Trump has multiple teams assigned to his security at all times, and ditto for Pence.)
Back to the talking head interviews... they line those up when, on fridays? And announce them on Saturdays? If that is the case, then Trump has an advantage, that if he can divert the pre-fabricated MSM narrative designed on friday to a new topic, it leaves the MSM stuck with guests who are not experts in the topic trump brings up, while trump’s people presumeably already have a heads up about the diversion to the new issue. the MSM talking heads and cherry picked liberal guests are left with a new set of talking points on saturday night which are not necessarily those points that the MSM had been pre-loading the public for during the week.
Now that Trump has at least nominal control over the intelligence agencies, he can in theory order those agencies to give him a full data dump on each and every action that Obama himself took during his 8 years in office, as evidenced by official and unofficial paper and electronic means. any government officials who refuse or destroy information — are shall we say — subject to immediate termination by the CIC.
trump can then use all of that information to control the purported liberal MSM narrative in conjunction with saturday morning tweets by getting inside the MSM’s OODA loop and being strategically prepared to show them up as tools and fools.
Hopefully Trump is now sitting on a stash of such breaches of ethics and laws to last him for the next 45 months or so (roughly through the next presidential election). controlling the narrative, the only other problems trump should have are remaining safe from assassination and safeguarding his own physical health through the usual exercise, diet and rest. Maybe that plus don’t start any major wars and reduce taxes to allow the kickstart the economy again (though in theory the fed can kick up some dust, not sure how exactly he plans to handle that yet, but imagine he has something up his sleeve if and when the time comes).

It’s an interesting (in the Chinese sense of interesting) and very intricate trap they appear to have set, here, and finding the holes in it needs to be considered carefully. Prosecuting or even removing certain key figures in this conspiracy, and yes it’s clear that there’s a conspiracy, will be treated as punishing “whistleblowers” at a minimum or even interfering in an investigation, in order to damage or even halt any actual investigation by the Trump administration.
