In a recent MSNBC interview, former Vermont Gov. Howard Dean surprised “Morning Joe” host Joe Scarborough with his assessment of who belongs in the modern Democratic Party.
During a discussion about how the party can expand its reach into rural America, Dean, who previously served as Democratic National Committee chairman, dismissed the idea of moderation on social issues.

Great point. Today’s left does everything it can to rewrite history, but these people have been for the same failed, inhuman policies since at least Woodrow Wilson’s terrible influence.

Recently I heard this blowhard complaining that they were getting old and little youth in politics. Surely it never dawned on him that they have nobody to blame but themselves for killing all those babies for over 40 years.
The Democrats for Life sit has two congressmen on it.

Democrats truly are the party of baby-killing. I think it’s the one issue that really is the issue for them. They’re unalterably dedicated to killing babies.
And Hillary Clinton must be prosecuted.
Besides, the door to the Dem tent is really low. Only Howard can walk through it upright.
In a perverse sort of way I think Dean is right. If you believe, and I mean REALLY believe that human life begins at the moment of conception. And that abortion represents the premeditated killing of an innocent human being, then I don’t see how you can belong to a party that is 100% committed to legalized mass prenatal killing on demand. Pretty much every other issue pales next to this.
Abortion is The Great Moral Issue of the Age, in much the way that slavery was in the 19th century. And it is an issue where, like with slavery, compromise is simply immoral. The GOP needs to reclaim the title of the party of abolitionists.
The party of inclusion.
