Will the live-action Beauty and the Beast movie feature Disney's first openly gay character? Director Bill Condon's description of an "exclusively gay moment" near the end of the upcoming film is being taken that way by some.
In a new interview with gay lifestyle magazine Attitude, Condon discussed the dynamic between the characters LeFou, played by Josh Gad, and Gaston, played by Luke Evans...

This certainly is not new turf for Disney... The magic kingdom and all of that fairy dust and magical whimsy was started back in the 40’s and 50’s. It was a “benign” Harry Potterish introduction to the dark side of spirituality. Very subtle, amusing, fun... but entrapment nonetheless. Even subliminally naughty... Witness the naked lady flashes or other discovered subliminally placed pornographic symbology. Intentional? Perhaps. There certainly has been enough exposure over time to make that argument.
My family and I were big Disney fans. We are annual pass holders and own a few shares. When my wife heard about this, she immediately said we are divesting. Needless to say, we won’t be watching this movie. Thank God Walt didn’t live to see this day.
I’m wondering if the folks at Disney were realizing that their long-awaited live action remake was going to bomb big-time, and producers wanted a scapegoat. Enter gay LeFou. Which is why I’m curious to know when gay LeFou was introduced. Was he in the script all along, or added later....
I guess it boils down to little “moments” in movies now to validate one’s beliefs, like they did in the last Star Trek movie. Shove it down those deplorables’ throats while indoctrinating their children.
LeFou was always a character. Not gay, though.
I know. That’s why I’m wondering about who made the decision to add the gay plot line and when. Was LeFou gay from the get-go when the remake was green lit, or was that added later? Who made LeFou gay, when, and why?
A first? Only for a few, maybe 2%? For me and the majority, it is my LAST moment from Disney. They will go the now well-traveled road trod by JC Penny, Target and the Dixie Chicks.
Everyone associated with putting this perversion into a children’s movie should be take out and horse whipped.
It may be a “Disney First”. Well, that just confirms that “Moana” is the **LAST** Disney film that my family and I will ever watch. . .
But I know a few grandma’s who were planning on taking their grandchildren to the film, but said now they won’t. Hopefully the moms will follow through and agree with their mom.
Several posts on FB about this, and I noticed poster after poster declaring they won’t see the film now that they’ve learned about the gay character scene.
I’m pretty much boycotting everything Hollywood. Disney is just a part of it.
LeFou was a ‘toady’ to the male lead character. Nothing homosexual about him in the story. The director admits he changed the story to make the story as a metaphor to AIDS and push the gay agenda.
Disney lost $200M on John Carter, other films have bombed as well because they misread the audience. Here it goes again.
Much of this comes from the Human Resources departments. Diversity programs. Homosexuals Hiring Homosexuals.
I have the orginial animated film on DVD. I’m very familiar with it. I love the film. Which is why I’m very curious about how, when, why, and by whom the decision was made to make LeFou a gay guy.
Once again Homowood is marketing queers, rimmers, and coprophiliacs. A disgusting and diseased lot of perverts trying to influence children and prepare them for a bit of same-sex raping. Nothing ever changes with the pervert alliance. Sandusky was one of the more famous members in recent times. Though Jerry Sandusky’s criminal trial did not begin until 2012, John DeCamp began discussing how he was contacted by victims and was linking the figures involved in the Franklin case to the sex abuse happening at Penn State all the way back in 2004.
