I’m saying Sessions is done. They’ve got him now that he recused himself. It’s like taking the Fifth Amendment. You’re automatically guilty. Mark my words. Sessions is gone.

You have no idea what you’re talking about. Ask any lawyer about what transpired today, and they will all tell you that THEY WOULD HAVE DONE THE EXACT SAME THING SESSIONS DID. His decision today had nothing to do with politics and everything to do with his professional obligations as a lawyer. He can’t conduct himself the way any ordinary cabinet member does.

P.S. — Sessions would have faced a lot more trouble down the road if he DID NOT recuse himself in any investigation related to the 2016 election. Six months from now there will be no news of any investigation. If Sessions didn’t refuse himself there would have been plenty of accusations that he was quashing it. Now, he doesn’t even have to answer any questions about it other than to say: “I have nothing to do with any of that.”
