Anyone holding onto hopes that this is a misdirection play leading to a genius trap is living in fantasy land.
For God's sake, Flynn misled the Vice President of the United States, however important Flynn's job position might have been,m it's not as important as VP.
President Trump showed loyalty to his Vice President, and admirably so.
It would have been a slap in the face to let Flynn get away with such deceit, even though there was no underlying crime.
So that situation is apples and oranges compared to this one...
Your post raises an interesting question. Just how many Trump appointees are there in the DOJ? It sometimes looks like there is a very then veneer of new appointees with almost no one below them. The Dem delays have the effect of retaining control of the Agencies and Sessions appears to be relying on the advice of holdover staff.
How can he help quash this thing if he recuses?

By my count, the only people who have been tossed out the door so far have been a national security advisor who spent much of his career working in the Obama administration and a labor secretary nominee who withdrew his name from consideration after it was revealed that he had hired illegal aliens in the past.

I know he’s only been there 3 weeks, but the state of the nation can’t wait too much longer for swift and strong justice to be dealt to these traitors.
When asked, DJT called Obama’s sedition “just politics”. I hope this was just a clever response intended to disarm the enemy, and not what he truly believes.

I agree, he should have had every detail, meeting times, who was there and what was discussed and point out all the other meetings the Russian ambassador had with democrats and other government officials and point out that this is NORMAL!
