MOONLIGHT, seems to me, was the WE ARE SORRY pick because of the snowflakes “OSCARS SO WHITE” whining last year.

Nobody wanted to see this flick, but it’s the BEST movie made last year? Laughable.

I post this because every local media outlet in Miami (this was a Miami based movie) is going ga ga over it.

Odd choice for a setting about "the black experience". Did a quick google search and Miami is about 19% black.

Exactly what I was thinking—a form of reparations.

That being said, I haven’t seen the movie. It might be quite good and worthy of the award.
