U.S. Sen. Marco Rubio is looking for a new office location in Tampa after the owner of his previous space decided not to renew his lease because of constant disruptions from protesters.
The Tampa Bay Times reports that the owner of the nine-story Bridgeport Center notified Rubios staff Feb. 1 that it would not renew its lease. They have to be out by Friday.

Ever hear of a Planned Parenthood being shut down because of a lease not being renewed because those of us who oppose infanticide are outside the area? No. Because we abide by the law.
This is ridiculous, I don't care what one thinks of Rubio.
Give the government legal tools and facial recognition software, and it will be used against us the next time Dems win an election.
Nah, this is just one of the inconvenient prices to be paid in exchange for freedom of speech.
Rubio should man-up about this.
Law and Order in reverse.
The correct way to handle this would be to call police and have the protesters removed and charged with harassment.
Doesn’t sound like it was Rubio’s choice; the Landlord wouldn’t extend the lease.
The headline is ridiculous, they didn’t evict him, they declined to renew his lease because of the actions of others, namely paid agitators.
Oh, so this is an “eviction”?
Is there an unlawful detainer? No.
Landlord elected not to renew the lease; nothing about that is automatic, it’s perfectly voluntary to renew or not renew.
Fake news.
Find office space next door to a police station. Or maybe a biker bar ;-)
GREAT ADVICE!!
You can believe that if these were conservative rioters - we, protesters - outside a Dem office, they’d have been in jail before you could blink an eye. The left has got to be held responsible for its actions.
Exactly. I don’t necessarily blame the landlord, but it shouldn’t have ever gotten to this point.
Protestors should not be able to interrupt the normal course of business.
Giving a sitting United States Senator the boot. I bet he can think of lots of ways to pay them back.
“Find office space next door to a police station. Or maybe a biker bar ;-)”
Rubio?
Biker Bar?
If only we could evict al-Rubio from the Senate....../
Fairly certain that it was Rubio’s choice.
So he’s just letting them run him - a sitting Senator - out of the building? If he just rolls over for this, then he is the whimp that Trump tagged him as.
“I don’t care what one thinks of Rubio.”
He’s a snake and a liar. If Soros and company are needed to make his life miserable, it certainly sounds like a good deal to me!
“Rubio should man-up about this.”
Actually, Rubio is SETTING THE TONE for this violence with his words. If Rubio would ACT MORE CIVILIZED the violence surrounding him wouldn’t happen.
(isn’t the above roughly what Rubio, Cruz, and others said about Trump?)
“Rubio?
Biker Bar?”
...or foam pool party?

Rubio has said that organized protests have, in effect, ruined town hall events.
They are not town halls anymore, he said. What these groups really want is for me to schedule a public forum; they then organize three-, four-, five-, six-hundred liberal activists in the two counties or wherever I am in the state.
They spread themselves out. They ask questions. They all cheer when questions are asked. They are instructed to boo no matter what answer I give, he added. They are instructed to interrupt me if I go too long and start chanting things. Then, at the end, they are also told not to give up their microphone when they ask questions.
