If you spend any time in Palm Beach those shoes are everywhere. They didn’t need to do any research.

p.s. you can find them on eBay - but probably not with the Commerce crest. ;-)

It looks that way, but actually, the first metatarsal is shorter. Also, one of the tarsals, the navicular, on the top side of the foot is larger than normal. Result is that eventually, over years, the metatarsal arch collapses. There are orthotics and I use them when I need to wear stiffer shoes or boots.

So what? Well, I guess the way I perceive it is the same as I perceive the open borders folks. They don't have to live with illegal immigration behind the gated/guarded communities.

Same here, how do you connect with those you serve when you live in an alternate universe. That's all I'm saying, not looking for a spat.

My parents had a close friend that was a multi-billionare (industrial metals engineer that invented, built and sold some household stuff). He had a very nice older home - not much to look at from the street but it was huge - Olympic indoor and outdoor pools, etc.

He drove an old Cadillac, wore typical business suits - not flashy at all (he is an engineer after all!). I know he would think $500 for slippers was silly. He always had a very nice yacht though!
