I’m hoping some folks in the media will stop being stupid and see this event as their opportunity to change the tone, treat him like the President and start reporting the truth rather than partisan BS.
Clearly, many in the media are utterly incapable of such a change. But maybe some will seize the chance to be professional.
Gee — I was at the inauguration and thought he became President Trump at THAT moment. Oh well.
And he exposed (once again) just how small and petty the Democrats are. From wearing KKK white, to sitting on their hands while other applauded to the rush to the exit when the speech was over.
President Trump didn’t get elected last year. Donald Trump did.
Anyone know what the blue buttons were that Dems were wearing?
DWS and Pelosi had them on that I noticed in the few pics I saw. BTW - Pelosi is not looking good health wise. Her face is showing signs of things going wrong in her mind. Alzheimers, dementia, stroke, etc.
Trump bump!
Terrific speech. Also, no teleprompter and it didn’t look as if the President even bothered to open the notebook on the podium. Did he give this speech from memory?
Good speech. Now he has a lot of FIRING to do.

Completely correct. Best speech I’ve seen since the days of President Reagan—and Reagan had many memorable speeches as President.
Welcome aboard the Trump-Train.
Yes, it was a superb speech.
But it is the substance of the president’s agenda and what he stands for that counts.
And he has made that perfectly clear for two years now.
It was all there out in plain daylight before this speech for anyone who listened.
You just had to pull your head out of Hillary’s nether regions and pay attention.
I LOVE MY PRESIDENT!
My job is not to represent the world. My job is to represent the United States of America.
I thought it was similar to many of his other speeches, it was great, but I have seen most of it before
BUT, for the people who haven’t seen him live and unfiltered by CNN, he did the perfect thing - he toned down some things as to stay in a more positive light and not give any ammo to the left. For example, he said we are starting the wall build, but he didn’t say, ‘and Mexico will pay for the wall’. He left out the more controversial campaign style remarks and probably converted some low info and democrat voters that have been in the media fog since the election!
I agree with you! He did a very good job, and was “presidential”.
I would agree that the speech was well delivered, but for me it contained way too many bows to the left (E.g. starting off with a hosanna to "Black History Month.") and a lot of talk about increased government spending on health care, the military, and infrastructure. I thought it a bit scary.
