I remember when we were all on W’s side. Such a relief to see him in the WH after the Clinton years. After 911, we all wanted to go to war with Saddam.

Then, I was awakened at 5:00 a.m. by the sound of hundreds of planes flying overhead…(I lived near huge navy air base). Ran downstairs, turned on the TV and heard myself shouting, No, No, No as the news came on….my heart, my soul, inner being, whatever you want to call it knew this was a terrible mistake. We’re still reaping the effects.

(NOT saying that ISIS is our fault, but that the Middle East is a crazy place with a culture we cannot possibly understand. My daughter spent a few years there a decade ago, enjoyed certain cultural things, like the beauty of Damascus.
