Ummmmm, why would they let “undocumented immigrants” apply for financial aid?

Because it’s free money.

These illegal aliens are in our country illegally!

They're not entitled to pity or special treatment!

Damned shame ... y'know?

Every institution of higher education (except the specialties ... medicine, rocket science, etc.) are nothing but finishing schools for socialism

These colleges, universities, etc. all see $$$$ flying out of their budgets pockets.

If I thought for one minute they might actually worry about some people might miss out on getting an education, that would mean they were caring for someone besides themselves!

They might actually have to join the line at the unemployment office!

What a crying shame ~ not!

Somehow I suspect that the colleges and banks demand some documentation from those who wish to borrow. A hand printed 3x5 card identifying the student as Juan Valdez just isn't going to cut it.

Shut down these CommuniST Colleges. All publik skools need to have their taxpayer funds withdrawn. You want free edumakation? Go to PRIVATE schools where there is competition and no free lunches (literally).

“Last year, by comparison, 4,624 such students had received Cal Grant awards under the Dream Act by the same March 2 deadline, according to the California Student Aid Commission.”

Imagine if that money had been spent on dams and other infrastructure repair in California.

Cal Grant gives funds to students who meet grade point average and parent income requirements. Up to $12,294 a year is available to qualifying students which can be applied to tuition, room and board, or books and other supplies.
