Just good business; blacks are among the few remaining segments of the population hooked on TV and movie screens. Marketers love them; they let them continue operating with a 1990s model instead of having to move with technology.

A guy who manages one of the local businesses made a similar observation to me one day, telling me that if it weren't for the influx of urban blacks, he'd be left to rely on the very elderly...who count their pennies.

Definitely; I believe that is why you see these stories of brawls in malls as well. I suspect people given money for “free” spend it more loosely than those of us who work for it...
