This is my take as well.
I totally avoided the show last night. Awoke to reports of this major gaffe, and are enjoying it. The screw-up is the story, and not the left political speeches that were undoubtedly made throughout the night.
What a shame.
Kimmel missed his best line last night:
“What a bonus, we got to see Matt Damon LOSE AN OSCAR.... TWICE!!!”
