You forgot, “What the f are we gonna do now!”

Around 1980 my friend and I got stuck in the snow when we ran off the side of a logging road way up in the mountains in the middle of nowhere. I had to cut about 40 little trees down and cut them up with a machete to make a base to get back the car on the road. It was snowing like crazy and we worked on it for over six hours until 2:00 in the morning. We didn't have any food, or a shovel and no way to contact anyone.

My friend kept us laughing the whole time doing funny Paxton quotes from Aliens. Every time our plan seemed to get messed up a little He would say either “What the f are we going to do now!” or “Game over man, we're all going to f-ing die!” and various derivatives. He was really good and it helped keep us going despite what seemed like a losing battle during agood portion of the time we were stuck.

I guess that would have been around 1986 since that is when Aliens came out.

“Phillip Seymour Hoffman was in that, too.

It will be weird to rewatch it, especially the scenes with both of them present.”

Dusty:”Manly handshake ensues”

Yeah, with Dusty and The Extreme gone it just won’t be the same.

“I love the line by Preacher of all people...
“Is there an F5...What would that be like?”.
“The finger of God.”

And the table goes silent.
“Has anyone seen an F5?”
“Just one.”

Won’t argue with those three.
If I ranked them it would be:

Twister
Tombstone
Apollo 13

Just my personal preferences.

Watch Aliens and then Apollo 13. It’s so much more fun to watch when Bill’s Fred Haise descends into Private Hudson.

For example:

Swigert [banging his head]: Ow! Piece o’shi# module…

Haise: HEY! This piece of shi# module is gonna get you home, pal! That’s because that’s all we got left!

Swigert: Hey, wait a minute. All I did was stir the tanks…

Haise: What were the numbers when you stirred ‘em?

Swigert: …I just did what they told me…!

Haise: …cuz you don’t know!

Loved him as the car salesman in “True Lies” with Arnold and Jamie Lee Curtis.

Pulmonary embolism?
Pneumonia?
Disseminated intravascular coagulation?

What ever the case, there is no such thing as routine surgery.

RIP.

In that shirt she was distracting, for a couple of reasons.

A couple of VERY GOOD reasons.

You know, it took me a minute or so to realise Bill Paxton is in that picture.
I admit it, I had/have a crazy crush on Helen Hunt.

FRAILTY

If Bill Paxton fans want to see an excellent Bill Paxton movie:

FRAILTY

At the end it BLOWS your mind.

A very memorable actor and screen presence. Very tragic he went so young. Aliens was his best role, imo.

I believe this picture is of Cary Elwes (Jonas, evil Government storm chaser). I don’t think Paxton ever had on that baseball cap!
