President Trump made an unannounced trip Saturday evening from the White House down Pennsylvania Avenue to Trump International Hotel in Washington, D.C.
According to press pool reports, the president is dining at the hotel, though an administration official would not say who he is dining with. Trump's public schedule had no events planned for the day.
Photos and video posted to social media appear to show Trump with his daughter Ivanka Trump and being cheered by onlookers as he walks through the hotel.
Independent Review Journal's Benny Johnson tweeted that after the Secret Service swarmed the place, Trump sat down to eat with Ivanka, her husband Jared Kushner, Florida Gov. Rick Scott (who had lunch with Trump earlier) and former U.K. Independence Party leader Nigel Farage. Johnson added that Farage was not invited, but arrived last minute, and that Secretary of State Rex Tillerson was dining with his wife across the room.

I hate to say it but Ivanka and Hubby are proving to be a problem. A lot of what we wanted has been stopped or stalled by them. She almost talked Trump out of the stupid LBGT bathroom thing, they are why we still haven’t pulled out of the stupid Paris climate treaty in fact she arranged the rinos carbon tax meeting, she is pushing a new child care entitlement. In short, lvanka is a Liberal and a big influence.
They left out that he made a profit off of himself, did not tip, and signed the check HITLER
He can to an extent but it would tax the resources of the Secret Service to do so as often as he did prior. An incredible amount of preparation and logistics goes into every presidential visit. The White House, Camp David, Trump Tower (NYC) and Mar-a-Lago are already fairly locked down and secure but all other locations require advance teams and extensive coordination with local law enforcement resources.
There will be democrat demands for an ethics investigation and impeachment because Trump ate at his own hotel ... Thus endorsing it

Those people all get paid their salary whether they are guarding Trump at his hotel or they are sitting home in their bathrobes
This “ extra expense” is much ado about relatively little
Remembering that obama locked down all the golf courses at Andrews every time he had a whim to play
