Yeah, if you're at a Republican Town Hall, and the late Harvey Milk walks in with his lover Barney Frank, and they start shouting about Medical marijuana and gay marriage-- it's a safe bet they're not from 'round those parts

Hey GG2,

The local free newspaper in Athens, Flagpole, is a heavily partisan paper that is constantly attacking Trump and the local congressman, Jody Hice, a great Trump supporter.

Trying to think what can be done. Wondering if a local on-line publication could be started to promote the culture and provide more balance.

I was thinking that an on-line platform like FR could be developed specifically for a small community.

Many senior citizens who are good writers and have time on their hands could be moderators and decide what gets published or not.

And lots of things could be done. Youth columns could be encouraged. The best stories written by high school kids could be featured — and these kids could get the satisfaction of being recognized.

What do you think? What would be the biggest challenge getting something like this going?
