Trump: DNC Chairman's Race ‘Rigged’

President Trump early Sunday tweeted that the race for Democratic National Committee (DNC) chairman was “rigged.”

“Bernie's guy, like Bernie himself, never had a chance. Clinton demanded Perez!” Trump added.

Former Labor Secretary Tom Perez on Saturday defeated Rep. Keith Ellison (D-Minn.) to become the next DNC chairman in a win for centrist Democrats.

The race, which split along establishment-grassroots lines, in many ways mirrored the divisive 2016 presidential primary between Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) and Hillary Clinton.

Sanders and many of his allies backed Ellison, the first-ever Muslim elected to Congress and a star on the left.

“Congratulations to Thomas Perez, who has just been named Chairman of the DNC. I could not be happier for him, or for the Republican Party!” Trump tweeted on Saturday, sparking a response from the new DNC chairman.

If Tom Perez is going to be labeled a “centrist democrat” both the media and the democratic party have completely left the realm of reality.

Trump can't prove he's right, either. So nothing will come of this.

All he needs to do is point to the Democrat's history.

If you don’t get the purpose of this tweet I find it hard to believe that you understand how Trump won the election.

That's a bit over the top. This stuff isn't so esoteric as you suppose.

The purpose is obviously to antagonize. My opinion is that we are served less by the Blunderbuss and more by the rifle at this juncture. At SOME point, Trump and the Office of the POTUS has to converge. It ain't happening for me, and I think Trump is wasting opportunity and trying the patience of some of his hard core supporters.

Who would imagine that Bernie’s band would favor another African Muslim with a deep-seated hatred for white people?

> They are pure information warfare

Exactly. There remain, or have returned, the memes that a Republcian must remain aloof from the fray while the enemies conduct themselves like barbarians.

This critical misunderstanding pervaded the NR folks and still is in the heart of GOPe losers — while they congratulate themselves on their decorum, the Dims are busy winning.

Conversely, the best way to confound leftists on their only real tactic — cheating — is to call them on it, not just when it’s ‘really’ bad, but every single time. Only in this way does the world get to see how corrupt the left is, and only in this way are we successful in winning voters whip view the aloof approach, correctly, as weak and accepting of corruption.

Wow. That took some big brass ones. My question is, “how does it help Trump to take sides here?” I think it would have been wiser to just say nothing. Let them bloody each other and appear to be the adult in the room instead of joining in.

Trump got here by constantly using misdirection, keeping all but his supporters 180 degrees confused and away from where he was headed. They spent weeks of talk on his orange skin, for instance, preventing them from talking about more serious stuff in a credible, negative way.

A little tweet does nothing bad with the idiots we are up against.

However, I can tell you are exhausted and unable to continue with your life. Examples of action have a way of doing that to the lazy.

“Why does he feel the need to comment about everything?”.........

Because Trump is a “planner” and you can bet his constant haranguing of the demodummies is part of his overall plan. Keeping your enemy on defense makes it more difficult for them to come at you when they don’t have any idea what will fall on them next.

I am only addressing the childish nature of the tweets. It makes him look very thin skinned. I don't mind the tweets as much as the nature of the tweets themselves. Love bypassing the media. I dunno, just kinda seems like nanny nanny boo boo...I got you...kinda rhetoric. Distasteful IMO.

How does Trump look “thin skinned” when nothing in the tweet has anything to do with him?

Would I look ‘thin-skinned’ to you if I had tweeted this morning that the “moon will be full again within a month?”

The big issue with always running your mouth, one day you're gonna say something that will backfire. You know as well as I, the democrats/socialist/commies in this country are EXPERTS at twisting words and then launching a smear attack to deligitimize every way they can. And...they will. Just a matter of time and one tweet away.

He needs to pick and choose his battles. Greatest piece of advice he could ever accept, choose your words carefully, don't feel the need to fight every single battle.

I think you overestimate the power of Tweets tremendously. They do not compare well with General Washington at the Delaware. Trump's tweet this morning is nothing more than a rebel yell, which is fine and all, but hardly the picture you paint in your post about fighting for the country.

Put quite simply, Trump is not "fighting for me" with that early AM tweet this morning. Sorry guys and gals, it is an OVERINDULGENCE on the part of someone I care very much about and his success as regards the Office of the POTUS.

And I can't get to all of the other replies, but no, I won't go join the democrats, or whatever other silly suggestions are made regarding this. The tweet is stupid, self serving, does not advance our agenda, on and on. That is my opinion stated, and I can't think of a way to look at it constructively AT THIS JUNCTURE.

With that said, I think I will still ride here, so quit inviting me off the train.

I just heard one of the ‘Rat candidates for President last cycle call President Trump a “fascist” on national TV. Why don’t you take your pearls and go over to DU and criticize him?

BOL!

Re Weiner: I hear he’s totally rehabbed.....he only sends pics of his private parts to legal adults.

They will put him on a road show as a reformed self inflicted victim.

Then, they will make him their new DNC or something else that is fitting for him.

“You sound like someone who would have stopped General Washington at the beginning of the Revolutionary War.

My ancestors called them Tories!

The Loyalists were American colonists who remained loyal to the British Crown during the American Revolutionary War. At the time they were often called Tories, Royalists, or King’s Men; Patriots called them “persons inimical to the liberties of America”.

Many fled to Canada during the Revolutionary War. Sounds familiar doesn’t it.
