Mississippi Gov. Phil Bryant is ready to assist in President Donald Trumps crackdown on illegal immigration, but some of his fellow Republicans are less than eager to cooperate.
Bryant contends that beefed up enforcement at the federal level can only help states.
The federal law is the federal law, Bryant told Newsmax while visiting Washington for the National Governors Association winter meeting this weekend. You see now that Immigration and Customs Enforcement is simply enforcing the federal laws. I like to remind people, if we are going to ignore these laws, they need to tell us what other laws we need to ignore.

Meanwhile,
“Work on the wall President Donald Trump has promised to erect along the nation’s 2,000-mile southwestern border will begin near Tucson, as well as El Paso, Texas, and El Centro, Calif., according to the Department of Homeland Security. Details about that initial work, first reported by the Austin American-Statesman, was released with documentation accompanying memos by Homeland Security Secretary John Kelly.
“CBP said it is also evaluating “priority areas” where it can build a wall or “similar physical barrier on the border where it currently doesn’t exist.” That evaluation, which will be completed within 180 days, will include current security, geography and federal and state resources to achieve “operational control” of the border, the agency said.”
Agreed. But...he’s following the law.
Has it come to the point where following the laws of the land, and the most basic ones there are to ensure security, is considered taking a stand?

Very interesting thought. We may have reached the showdown between liberal PC and the Rule of Law. If Law wins you will probably see prosecutions of law breakers like Hillary Clinton and her entire retinue. That would be full victory for the Law. I am betting on a skirmish with prosecutions of lower level people but not the top layer.
Magnolia State ping!!
Bryant also did a lot of good work for concealed/open carry in Mississippi - overall good guy.
My advice would be to get a better-fitting toupee.
Holy Misplaced Modifiers Batman!
Is the Immigration Crackdown, ILLEGAL????
I don’t know if he’s had a transplant, but looks like his real hair to me:
Tell-tale signs.....
<><> where the rug meets the real hair over the ears.........
<><> the youthful-looking front semi-bang to hide the hairline.
But did you look at my pic, showing the side of his head with his part? That doesn’t look like a guy who would, or would have need to, wear a rug.
Pic could have been taken earlier?
Looks like 2014. Here he is at his 2015 SOTS speech:

But.......
Butttt.........................
OUR DONERS are giving us RINOS $o much MONEY to shut up about all the illegals.
Money!
It’s about ALL THE MONEY.!!!
Indeed. Ask your favorite liberal or elected RINO if they demand that local and state authorities cease cooperation with the FBI on bank robberies, for example, because those are "federal" crimes.
ALL governors should be made to assist with the efforts to rid our country of illegals or suffer the consequences of losing federal funding.
I know exactly where they can start: George County MS!
