He chose not to tell anyone, not even his family until a month ago. The rest of us found out only last week. It’s just the way he was. We suspected something because being here all the time to hang out with Hubby and other buddies in the garage, we noticed weight loss. He just said he was dieting and we took him at his word. We didn’t call him “Big C” for nothing. He was a big fella.

Friendship was all the support he wanted and needed, apparently, and he had plenty of friends.

I gather there’s been no more snow to pack down and smooth out the roads?

He was the captain of his own ship to the end.

No snow today, and some melting. Who knows what tomorrow will bring.

More melting. Well that’s just great. Not! It’s going to refreeze into an even lumpier mess overnight. Yuck!

We’re supposed to drop into the 20s overnight and it hurts after the 75 degrees we enjoyed yesterday. LOL! They say we’ll hit the mid 50s tomorrow with 50s and 60s all next week. Just a crazy winter down here this year.

Keep moving: Denver, El Passo, Ft Bliss , Ft Lenoardwood, Ft Lewis, Viet Nam, Ft Campbell, Ludendorf Cassern Germany, Stutguart, Ft Dix. All in three years. I don't move around much anymore.

It’s warming up a little bit from yesterday morning. Bo found 3 gophers out at the lake yesterday.

Yes...we went back a second day. She LOVED it...even stepped into the ocean...and stepped right out again.

It is, after all, February!
