Here’s some sweet DU sadness:
Ideologically Perez and Ellison are very, very similar.
However, one of them has spent a great deal of time winning elections and running campaigns in the midwest, and the other has spent his entire professional career as a bureaucrat inside the DC Beltway, never venturing further than Montgomery County.
Hope I’m wrong about Perez, but this seems like a missed opportunity.

But what need does the DNC have for running campaigns and grassroots stuff? That’s totally unnecessary when 25% of your super-voters are in the bag!
At mid-term time, I can see Trump explaining this to the Bernie bot fringe. Two elections in a row they won’t show up.
