“The South Side of Chicago is the baddest part of town” It looks like a war zone. I know, my commuter train goes through it every workday. I should take video of it next week and post it here on FR. Seriously, it looks like a bombed out war zone........
I was visiting my BIL last summer - he lives in the suburbs of Chicago. I went to one of the museums in Chicago and made the mistake of setting my GPS to avoid highways as it was rush hour. Big mistake. Had I run out of gas or broken down, I might not be posting this today. The GPS took me through neighborhoods that looked like Beirut on a bad day. We were definitely in "roll up your windows and lock the doors" mode.
When in Chicago, stay on the highways! And keep your gas tank full.
