Yes, but that’s pretty much been the price of moving up in the DoD for a long time now. It wasn’t just Obama. The Bushes also promoted the “religion of peace” nonsense. Anyone who didn’t fall into line wasn’t likely to move up to three star rank. That’s for sure.
