CNN)The widow of an Indian man killed in a Kansas bar said Friday she was constantly worried about violence against foreigners, but her husband had assured her everything would be OK.
"I told him many a times, 'Should we think about going back? Should we think about going to a different country?' He said, No," Sunayana Dumala said, according to video recorded by CNN affiliate KCTV. Srinivas Kuchibhotla, 32, died Wednesday from wounds after being shot at a bar and restaurant in Olathe where he was having an after-work beer with a good friend. Hours later police arrested Adam W. Purinton, 51, in Clinton, Missouri, about 70 miles away.

Trying to argue with retards in a bar is rarely a good idea.
“Trying to argue with retards in a bar is rarely a good idea.”
It does not look like anyone was arguing with the shooter.
cnn ever do an article like this on any of the family members or victims of Islamic terrorism or illegal aliens? No, I don’t think so. That is what you call propaganda.
Yeah, we have strong laws for hate crimes but the reason this death is so shocking is because it’s so rare.
I find the concept of prosecution for hate crimes an aberration of law. If criminal A kills person B and both are white or both or black or of the same religion it is just a crime. If not it becomes a hate crime. This is insane.
Crime is crime and should be prosecuted on the basis of the crime. When race and religion become part of the judicial process of prosecution it undermines the legitimacy of the judiciary as an honest and unbiased arbitrator of crime.
When the judiciary is no longer respected as an honest arbitrator of justice, unbridled violence is sure to follow because at that point the judiciary becomes illegitimate and criminal in of itself. That is when the norms of society break down as judicial law itself has broken and is naught but a political social entity of no standing and not worthy of respect nor obedience.
I pray these things do not come to pass, but we are close.
I agree, as there is little need to tag on a hate crime to Adam W. Puritan’s charges as he will spend the rest of his rotten life in prison.
He murdered someone.
The murder was premeditated.
The two attempted murders were premeditated.
He fled to another state.
I don’t think they can execute him, but he will never be out of prison.
The killer was a loser idiot.
I don’t have a problem with most the people from India — unless they’re muzzie.
Now I do have a problem with some of the government programs they’re offered.
“Now I do have a problem with some of the government programs theyre offered.”
The victim was an engineer at Garmin.
I doubt he was on any type of government program.

True. It is a shame what happened to his man. I will also acknowledge that we don’t have all the facts to this case. If CNN is the source, I cannot take it as truth.
My comment was about some of the sweetheart deals our government has cut for some foreigners that aren’t available to our citizens.
Not only an aberration of law but of logic. So-called "hate crimes" are really the "thought crimes" that Orwell warned about as a result of the totalitarian state.
Crimes are crimes. I'm sure when most murders take place there's a strong element of "hate" involved. But the court has no way of knowing what a criminal's thoughts were prior to the act. Using supposed insights into people's thoughts as a basis for criminal punishment is truly a scary political development. The Soviets, Cubans and other totalitarian states used mental hospitals as a means of silencing political critics. Already there are calls by the Communist Left for a White House psychiatrist to evaluate Trump's mental health. A very slippery slope...
John Wesley Hardin wrote, “...Readers you see what drink and passion will do. If you wish to be successful in life, be temperate and control your passions; if you don’t, ruin and death is the result.”
(Late) advice for Mr. Purinton...
Actually, he’s probably looking at the death penalty. Kansas is good about that.
“Actually, hes probably looking at the death penalty. Kansas is good about that.”
Kansas is only good about the death penalty if you happen to read In Cold Blood.
Other than that, Kansas has not executed anyone in more than 50 years.
“If CNN is the source, I cannot take it as truth.”
It appears to be the truth.
One guy is dead and the other guy is in jail after hiding out and having one more drink at an Applebees located in another state.
The guy who shot up the Jewish Community Center and later a woman at a Jewish retirement center was sentenced to death. I know of two others who pled out to live w/o parol rather than go to trial with the death penalty on the table. Another, Andrew Ellmaker, should be on death row but was 17 when he killed his social worker with a chainsaw. Oh, and the two Carr brothers are both on death row in spite of our stupid liberal KS S.Ct. It had to go to the US S.Ct. who reversed the KS court 9-0.
Well, that sure didn’t take cnn long
Next time when a minority kills a white person, I’m sure cnn will be right on it
The thing is why does any crime get elevated to national news? When it comes to the national media it gets elevated when it fits their leftist agenda. If it doesn’t then they may have to report on it if other circumstances force them to but if it doesn’t fit the agenda it will be downplayed as much as possible.
From what I read, Kansas does not have a Death Row but has nine people who have been sentenced to death.
But the reality is that the State of Kansas has not executed anyone since 1965.
What’s your point? We have less than 3 million people. And for the most part, we’re a pretty nice bunch of people.
