Although this 1952 show was not one of his best, it ran for years on Broadway. The movie version interpolated a number of songs from his other shows.
In 1961, Ella appeared at the Crescendo nightclub in Hollywood when that neighborhood was the home of Los Angeles nightlife. A walk through it now will expose you to every perversion known to man! This is from her nightclub show, and she is backed by a small jazz combo with some exceptional sidemen.
