“Your kids grew up, sort of....probably at that middle “age” where parents weren’t to be seen or heard “in case a friend would see them”. Usually as they grow older, and have kids, it becomes funny again. Remember, Dad, when you talked to mannequins...that was too funny. d:o)”

No one has ever accused me of having any sense! ;-)

Always a privilege. I'm still trying figure out how they maneuvered instruments like the drums and harp into position for a successful flash mob attack.

Here's another Bolero I didn't have a chance to include - Torvill and Dean 1984 Championship Ice Skating Performance....

You need to take a trip to TN sometime in the spring to enjoy a nice thunderstorm or two. LOL! Not all produce lightning that fabulous but they’re still good shows. You’ve heard, over the phone, how intense some can be. LOL!

ROSEMARY CLOONEY: “FROM THIS MOMENT ON”

Rosemary traversed the songbook in the mid-Eighties, but this recording comes from 1955 and her engagement at the London Palladium.

ELLA FITZGERALD: “FROM THIS MOMENT ON”

Ella’s 1956 version, backed by Buddy Bregman, showcases her perfect diction. It’s a great Big Band arrangement.

JUDY GARLAND: “FROM THIS MOMENT ON”

Judy’s Friday night show on NBC should have been a greater success. This tape from 1963 permits her to speed the song up for a superior jazz treatment.

I remember watching the Judy Garland Show with my Mom, and my Mom using Judy’s tragic history to warn me against drug use.

In 1963, I was only 11, but The Psychedelic 60’s were looming in close proximity.
