Apologizing to MS-13. There is a simple solution to this. Start by pulling their Stonegarden (DHS) funding and continue making hits on targets in town. Don’t inform police until you are at the target. Set an outer perimeter to stop them from interfering.

Any gang member involved in distributing meth should be sent to jail for a long time then deported.

Second offense they should be eligible for death penalty

This may sound harsh, but not to people who have experienced the wreckage meth does to people's lives

Got to love Santa Cruz taking a stand for illegal immigrants. Santa Cruz is one of the most segregated areas in the country, huge estate of weatlty liberal citizens owning nice homes in beach front neighborhoods or estates in the hills , while dirt poor immigrants live in shacks on the farm fields of Watsonville just 10 miles away, over the hill , beyond the school district and out of sight...

There are lots of police chiefs in almost every other state that pull the same crap with illegals, Santa Cruz's chief is no better or worse than those in cities in the other states that play this game, they all need to resign for dereliction of duty, whether they are in California, Texas, Arizona, Massachusetts or anywhere else in America where they put the imaginary rights of illegal immigrants above the real rights of American citizens and legal immigrants. We see the stories in the news about social activist law enforcement personnel and educators in almost every state.

It’s because in the larger city venues, once cops become
“Chief”, they’re no longer cops, but politicians.
