Asked how much longer she would stay in post, she said: "At my age you have to take it year by year."

Maybe even month by month, Ruth.

Justice Ginsburg, when awake, demonstrates serious cognitive difficulties. She is at the end of her useful life. There’s no doubt that she will die in office, and I have witnessed two elderly relatives die after a very rapid descent into non compos mentus at the end of their lives.

She should be thanked for her service, given whatever trinket they give retired justices, and allowed to sleep sitting up until she crosses over. What WILL happen is the spiral she is descending into increases pitch and velocity and is increasingly unable to function. She will be found one morning by her handlers and that will be that.

Trump will nominate another strict constructionist and the liberals will lose their minds. Trump can wait as long as he needs to—at that point the court will be 5-3 conservative and can hold in that pattern for a very long time.

“””I read the Washington Post and the New York Times every day”””

If Judge Ginsburg is only reading WAPO and the NYT every day, it shows how narrow-minded she is by only feeding her brain leftist pablum.

Hardly anyone that should be on the Supremem Court.

Didn’t Cruz just say she was going to be gone this summer? Or was he intending someone else on the Court?

Her acid reflux has eaten her brain. Once you have too much of that, you erode the part that tells your heart to pump.

If Neil Gorsuch is confirmed for Scalia’s seat and the octogenarian Justices Ginsburg, Breyer and Kennedy are all replaced with young Conservative Justices then America can once again experience the best of times.

"I read the Washington Post and the New York Times every day. . . ."

Confirmation bias and social proof. Progressives all read the same stuff and cannot understand how there can be people do not hold exactly the same positions on everything that they do.

"Good. Is she on her death bed yet?"

Yes, except her death bed is a seat on the Supreme Court. One of these days soon, she just won't wake up from one of her frequent naps during oral arguments.

... I think that the reporters are trying to tell the public the truth...

Yeah, well may be you and the rest of the leftists think so, but I see both of those papers with an agenda that they wish to propagate and no checks on their thinking. A lot of it is the way it's presented. Years ago, there was a contest between a Ford and a Russian Zil. The Ford annihilated the Zil in every test. The Pravda headlines:

Zil Finishes Second In All Test; US Ford Second-to-Last on All

They never mentioned there were only two cars.

Another example (not sure if true?): Trump and the Pope are having lunch on his yacht when the Pope's hat blows into the water. Trump vaults over the rail, walks on the water to the hat, picks it up and walks back. Headlines the next day:

Trump Can't Swim

Same facts, different agenda.

ways of removing judges that do not follow the constitution

There would have to be ANOTHER court to determine that they were or were not following the constitution... who would make that determination?

What's plain to see for you and me is, apparently, invisible to 50% of the country. 40%, anyway.

Yes she is on her deathbed, but it could take 8 years for her to die.

If she dies during Trump's presidency, Sotomayor and Kagan will play Weekend at Bernie's with her corpse until a Democrat can replace her.

The scary thing is that once she completely loses her faculties some anonymous 24 year old law clerk from Georgetown will be writing her opinions.

She’s right - in a way.

Thanks to President Trump the pendulum has already begun swinging back from leftist anarchy and insanity and is now moving in the direction of probity and rationality.

She’s a modern day Liberal, meaning her warped political ideology supersedes everything else including Religion, Logic and the Constitution. In essence, She is a politician in the role of Supreme Court Justice.

I think that the reporters are trying to tell the public the truth,” she said.
Well she is qualifying and parsing.
It’s either the truth the whole truth and nothing but the truth or its a lie.
Judges should avoid any appearance of defferenc, it’s suffose to be impartial.
