Sen. Ted Cruz on Thursday predicted that there will be another Supreme Court vacancy “this summer,” on top of the current opening on the high court left by the death of Justice Antonin Scalia.
“This summer, I think we’ll have another Supreme Court vacancy,” he told attendees at the Conservative Political Action Conference, prompting applause and then some murmurs from the crowd.
Supreme Court justices receive lifetime appointments, and their tenure only ends when they retire or die.
He said the left would go even crazier at that point than they are now as the U.S. Senate weighs President Trump’s nomination of Judge Neil Gorsuch to replace Justice Scalia.
“Because the next vacancy is where we have the ability to get back and restore basic constitutional protections,” he said.

Actually, I would like to see 4 openings. Several blackrobed tyrants need to be impeached for violations of their oath of office.

Careful Teddy. When one or two of these elder judges does ‘roll over’, the Dems will say you are complicit in the judges demise. You know how nutty and immature they are these days. Look at the scrutiny Trump is getting after his prescient remarks on Sweden, just before the recent uptick in Muslim riots.
I can think of one who helped make ObamaScamCare “a tax”. Wouldn’t mind seeing him gone either. He can go back to eating lobster with his rich buddies.

What ... are they going to finally admit that Ginsburg is a zombie? As one of the undead, she’s not eligible to be on SCOTUS.

We had better hope that another liberal retires because when gorsuch is appointed, it will only bring the court right back to where it was under Scalia- where Jonny Roberts is a wild card- who the hell knows how he will vote after his completely asinine opinion on obamacare- an opinion so asinine that legal scholars around the country shook their heads in disbelief
We will need another SOLID conservative o n the bench- and hopefully the bench will remain conservative for decades- our country is at a critical point where the left are now just trampling our constitutional rights and thumbing their noses at the law-

Ginsberg does seem like she’s not all there. This could be legally challenged, I believe.

Maybe the NeverTrumpers will apologize to us and admit their were insane to give Hillary those picks.
That’s the real war ahead. Dems will want to keep the “Ginsburg seat” at least moderate.
Republicans need to grow a spine. We are in a fight for the life of the country. Ignore the screamers and protestors and keep plowing ahead. Grow a pair of big balls like Trump has.
I would rather he stood before the real judge to give an account of his actions.
