I'm not saying anything bad about Reagan. Only that Trump is so far more conservative than Reagan with regard to his cabinet and his policies. Granted we must see how the next eight years plays out for the final verdict. But there is no doubt whatsoever that Trump has done more for conservatism in the first 30 days than Reagan did in his first 30 days.
Also, I am incredibly impressed with his very conservative vice president of Mike Pence. Can't say the same for George HW Bush who promptly undid the Reagan legacy and set the stage for the Clintons to take power, who Trump finally did away with once and for all.
Of course, Reagan had to deal with a Democrat controlled Congress so saying that Trump has gotten more done is not a slam against Reagan. Also, I'm not terribly impressed with the current GOP congress and senate. Many of them appear weak with no backbone. Hopefully Trump whips them into shape and shows them how to win.
Trump has both houses in Republican control and thus is poised to take conservatism much further than Reagan ever did. Let's hope that that turns out to be the case over the next 8 years.
You are applying moral equivalency to two different leaders at two different times in country's history and then choosing a winner. The winner who has yet to offer one piece of tangible legislation.
Enjoy your bubble friend. Trump is the best ever. Most conservative, most popular, best 30 days. Whatever.
