I agree with AU that’s doubtful Dold was AS bad as ACU had it, I mean Connie Morella territory? Overall I doubt very much that he wasn’t to the right of Jr. Lipinski.

Speaking of RINOs and Paulbots.

RINO Walter Jones (good ACU ratings lately, bah) has a primary opponent in Craven County Commissioner Scott Dacey. Also running a random guy who got 20% against Jones last year. NC is a runoff state but the threshold is 40%. Jones had a close 51-45 primary race in 2014 but got off easy last year.

And in every article I’ve come across about the MO Senate race the comments sections are full of Austin Peterson supporters. The Paulbot fiends are ever organized, I’ll give them that.

The online "buzz" for Austin Peterson from "conservative" groups is starting to creep me out. It seems like this guy is some Paulbot loon that is deliberately orchestrating a major PR campaign to fool the GOP base into thinking he's a Reagan Republican (cue Paulbots posting a photo of Ron Paul with Ronaldus Maximus, conveniently ignoring the fact Paul later renounced Reagan completely) So far, he seems to be wildly successful at it.

Peterson's "fans" on the internet crow about the fact that he's "pro-life" (he is, of course, "personally" pro-life -- as in "Well I PERSONALLY think its murder and would never recommend a woman get one but gosh darn it we can't enact any actual laws that would stop it"), which means he will effectively vote the same as a pro-abortion RAT on the issue.

He's also pro-homo marriage and pro-legalize dope, but apparently a bunch of "Bible Belivin' Evangelical" groups love him anyway. I guess its "conservative" in their "bible-based" church to walk Frank & Duke down the aisle.

Last but not least, Peterson is pro-open borders.

Unfortunately I've heard rumors that the rest of the GOP field sucks, so Peterson may indeed be the "most conservative" of the bunch. But anyone who thinks or pretends this guy is Jesse Helms better prepare themselves for Justin Amash 2.0. If there's a better alternative, we need to start pushing them now.

From his website

“Born in Independence and raised in Peculiar — near a town called Liberty. Meet Austin Petersen.”

Oh gag me with a spoon.

There is no GOP field, as of yet. Wagner getting out has upended the race.

When I first saw his name pop up in running for the Senate race, I smelled a rat. Looks like I was right.

I forgot MO has no runoff, so if this buffoon gets a plurality, this will be another nutter I can’t endorse. Methinks the state party will come up with someone suitable to derail this guy, but if it’s another establishment RINO... =8-0>

Sadly, that's probably exactly the kind of GOP opponent he wants, so he frame his candidacy as "grassroots conservative outsider vs. business-as-usual career politician"

I hope a decent ACTUAL conservative can be recruited to derail this guy.

A poll shows AG Hawley (not yet running) leading McCrapskul by 4 points.
