In a blistering CPAC speech following Hillsdale College President Dr. Larry Arnn, the Independent Women's Forum's Sabrina Schaeffer, and Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker, American Conservative Union (ACU) Executive Director Dan Schneider attacked the alt-right, claiming that those who identify with that term today have hijacked it for a philosophy fundamentally at odds with conservatism.
"Just a few years ago, this hate-filled left-wing fascist group hijacked the very term 'alt-right,'" Schneider declared. "They did it intentionally because they want to deceive the media, they want to deceive you all about what they stand for, so they can try to become normalized, and we must not allow them to be normalized. They are not part of us!"

CPAC has always been an insiders joke on the rest of the country.
Al Cardenas and Matt Schlapp are toadies of the Cheap Labor Express.
Is CPAC the center of the alt-RINO?
...fighting over defining a recent label from nowhere.
Exactly. I swear I never even heard the term “alt-right” until the Hillary campaign drummed it up; probably because it sounds scary or something.
The Schlapps are career people, very slow to board the Trump nomination fight and still, clearly, lack enthusiasm. They hide that by simply sticking to policy discussions.
“What do you call a Christian who is against abortion and in favor of the Welfare State, because it gives poor women an alternative to abortion?”
Garden variety commie.
“What do you call someone who is fiscally conservative, pro-2nd-Amendment, and pro-choice?”
Corrupted.
Who gives a crap? How does arguing over a term advance conservative principles? At least Milo would have been funny.
