Politics does swing like a pendulum, and we should expect it to bounce back at some point. However, financial analyst Martin Armstrong has plotted their seats in congress over time, and found that the democrat party peaked with FDR. Each succesive swing of the pendulum produced a lower peak. The democrats are in a long term bear market. When the pendulum swings back, they may not be able to win back more than the house or senate.
