"Fuming, Defiant" Mexican Politicians Meet With US Officials Over "Hostile" Immigration Policies

Top US officials arrived in Mexico Wednesday to find a "defiant, fuming" Mexican government refusing to accept President Donald Trump’s tougher immigration and deportation policies.

U.S. Secretary of State Rex Tillerson landed in Mexico City on Wednesday afternoon. He was due to be joined by Homeland Security Secretary John Kelly later for talks the White House said would "walk through" the implementation of Trump's immigration orders. Kelly signed the guidelines issued by his department on Monday. Mexico's lead negotiator with the Trump administration, Foreign Minister Luis Videgaray, said there was no way Mexico would accept the new rules, which among other things seek to deport non-Mexicans to Mexico.

"We also have control of our borders and we will exercise it fully," he said, adding that Mexico was prepared to go the United Nations to defend the freedoms and rights of Mexicans under international law.

You must be new here. FR has a long-standing "In" joke.

....when a word is misspelled...it becomes a FR classic....like prolly.

Again, not a mistake....done on purpose.

What’s their problem?

We are just returning their own citizens to them.

We are not going to be Uncle Sap any more.

Well if you’re going to let people from other nations pass through your country only to sneak into the USA then it’s your problem.

I hope that Foreign Minister Luis Videgaray is aware of US laws currently on the books, that are now actually being enforced.

His threat to take his claims to the UN are further justification to defund the UN. They can pursue their misdirected work with their own money, not ours.

The Mexican government doesn’t want its own lowest class to come back because they’d rather have us pay them and then collect half of Mexico’s GDP in money wired from the USA . Too bad. We are tired of this rip off.

Take em all “ Make Mexico Great” hats
If Mexico wasn’t such a sh!thole of a failed state maybe 25% of their population wouldn’t be desperate to leave
We’ve invaded nations and replaced governments for that level of dysfunction in the past, maybe the boys at CIA need something useful to plot besides taking down the U.S. government

Lots of leverage in “the economic elements”.

On both sides. I figure it'll eventually come down to a trade war with tariffs imposed by both countries and see who gives in first.

You let them pass through coming this way, you can let them pass through going home. Suck it, Mexico.

It seems to me that Trump has a lot of leverage he can use against the crooks in Mexico. They have a society based on light skinned elites, and they’ve been exporting their undesirables to the US for decades.

Mexico has a single, streamlined law that ensures that foreign visitors and immigrants are:

- in the country legally;
- have the means to sustain themselves economically;
- not destined to be burdens on society;
- of economic and social benefit to society;
- of good character and have no criminal records; and
- contributors to the general well-being of the nation.

The law also ensures that:

- immigration authorities have a record of each foreign visitor;
- foreign visitors do not violate their visa status;
- foreign visitors are banned from interfering in the country’s internal politics;
- foreign visitors who enter under false pretenses are imprisoned or deported;
- foreign visitors violating the terms of their entry are imprisoned or deported;
- those who aid in illegal immigration will be sent to prison.

Jorge Castenada hasn’t been a “Mexican official” since a short term with Vicente Fox 15 yrs ago. He is however a rabid communist and the Mexican version of “Screwy Louie”.

The Mexican economy will collapse if this is imposed. the government may even collapse. they have been using the american economy to ensure their socialist haven for decades and not fixing their own economic mess.
  1. It's been a way of ridding Mexico of their unskilled Mestizos (Brown Mexicans) who don't contribute to their economy
  2. It's a relief valve for civil unrest (like Castro's Mariel boatlift without water)
  3. The illegal drug trade is an economic boon to the Ruling Class, who have their dirty hands in it
  4. It helps the Mexican economy, with all the US dollars the illegals send to families back home
In other words, it helps to keep the Castizo (White Mexican) Ruling Class in power.

The Mexicanos are livid b/c they figured all of us are a buncha dupes.

People in power here looked the other way as the federales pushed the brown-skinned peons over the border......urging them to get on the US gravy train and send the money back to the Mexican govt.

Then came Trump.

Of course.....the M/I is yet another scummy way the federales finance their
lavish lifestyles (and their gambling habits) on the backs of US taxpayers.

Our crooked politicians looked the other way on purpose. They want to flood the country with people who will demand more government and vote for crooked politicians.
