Jackie Evancho, the 16-year-old who sang the national anthem before President Trump‘s swearing in, has criticized the POTUS over his newly announced plans to repeal Barack Obama’s progressive legislation on public school bathrooms for transgender students.
On Wednesday the singer — who has a transgender sister, Juliet — wrote, “I am obviously disappointed in the @POTUS decision to send the #transgender bathroom issue to the states to decide. #sisterlove.”

Completely expected. It was known she has a transgender sibling when Trump picked her, and she was open and proud about it. Not surprising she would speak out against Trump here.
The states are EXACTLY what should decide this issue and every other issue not explicitly given to the FedGov. Which she'd know if she had an education, not an indoctrination.

While it is the most blown up issue for a ridiculously small number of subjects, I will give her some leeway because she has a family member caught in that maze.
Trump did the right thing.
Barack Obama failed to use his legitimate executive authority to mandate that all federal buildings comply with this nonsense. Why didn't he even do this at the White House?

The entertainment industry lets her play on the national stage because she participates in their agenda. The transgender brother is her gimmick. Remember the character of stripper Gypsy Rose Lee in the musical Gypsy singing, You gotta have a gimmick, if you want to get ahead.
She’s a pretty little girl, and a very good singer. She’s entitled to her opinion, just like the rest of us, and I’m glad she expressed it in a polite way. That said, her opinion matters no more to me than any other 16 year old’s.
