My grandparents raised pigs when I was very young. I seem to recall the stuff fed to those pigs looked better than that pile of $#@&¥ does. Bleech!
That looks like what most of us would call “Mystery Meat”.
I have 3 younger brothers.
we are 2 yrs-3 yrs-7 2 yrs apart.
We got peanut butter & strawberry jam sandwiches every single school day all the way thru high school. There was no middle school—1 thru 8, then 9 thru 12.
It took a full package of Wonder bread every school day to make those sandwiches, as the boys usually ate 2 apiece. We didn’t have any kind of cafeteria & we could buy a carton of milk for 5 cents from a dispensing machine like an old Coke machine.
None of us suffered. We were healthy & in good shape. My brothers played sports—we got good grades & I was on the Honor Roll & in the bands.
The big thing when I was a junior in high school was the opening of the A & W drive in. IF we got to go there once a month, it was a big deal.
One of my strictest rules is that I never eat anything that looks like someone else already ate it.
