Proggies can never be wrong. They are their own gods. So, they can never change a position or opinion or practice — that would be admitting error, killing their god.
I suspect many of them literally would drown before admitting they can’t swim. They really do have mental issues, and are not to be trusted.

There’s a 2yo thread on Qatar’s gifting, I’ll try to find it, if one in the media or political world need a sudden cash infusion, there’s a guy with a checkbook at the table within minutes, and all you have to do is agree not to cover certain topics.
